The Residence

The Residence Borgo San Carlo lies 3km from the town of Pomaia, in the heart of Tuscany.

Opened in 2002, it has already been noticed by numerous operators in the tourist trade for the architectural quality and style of its apartments and the tasteful furnishings and fixtures. Its geographical position, only 15km from the sea and very close to all the most important cities of art in Tuscany, is enriched by a natural environment lavish with green countryside and charming views.

Entirely rebuilt over the ruins of an old factory used to manufacture alabaster, just a few kilometres away there is the important Buddhist monastery of Lama Tzong Khapa, a place of pilgrimage for illustrious tourists from all over the world.

The construction work has been done not only respecting the environment with a preference made for natural materials and ecologically compatible techniques: the philosophy of a complete permeation of the Residence with nature – the proof of which stands in the fact that the entire complex is totally immersed in the lush green countryside – also confirmed by a system of solar panels which is used for the hot water supply.

The spacious apartments offer wonderful views, and are all furnished in typical Tuscan style.

The Residence is immersed in the green countryside and for this reason every apartment always looks onto gardens and areas surrounded by hedges where you can relax, sunbathe of have a barbecue. Also there are numerous services which you can use both at the Residence or in the surroundings.

The area of the Residence was once occupied by a quarry for extracting and manufacturing alabaster. This is where each single apartment takes its name from, inspired by the craftsmanship of the quarrymen.

Staying at the Residence is always a stimulating experience. You can alternate days of total relaxation by the side of the pool or in your garden with days where you try wine-and-dine tours, or develop your creative streak or do some invigorating exercise and sport.
